I met Amanda Wyndham in 2013, the last year of the Atlanta Rock and Roll Monster Bash. I was immediately struck by her classic beauty and effortless pin-up looks. Everything about her was intriguing and beautiful.
I took one or two pictures of her at that event, and got her contact information so we could set up another shoot on a day and at a location less sweltering than the black top parking lot of a drive-in theater during a summer in Georgia. That first shoot began an almost annual appointment for shooting together.
I loved working with her. Every shoot with Amanda was creative, fun, and not always serious. Her beauty and charm shone through in every shot I ever did of her – from a classic headshot to a sexy country girl. Every shoot with Amanda was a favorite shoot.
On a January Tuesday, as I was building this website, I texted her to ask her if she wanted to use her alias (Delta Rebel) or if I could use her full name, and we talked about doing another shoot very soon since it had been about a year since our last shoot. The next day I learned that she had died by apparent suicide.
Today I will attend the funeral of one the most beautiful, creative, kind, and warm models I have ever worked with.
